Course Details
Materials, Hardware, and Processes
This course will help you learn the importance of materials, hardware, and correct installation on an aircraft’s safe and efficient operation. Knowledge and understanding of the uses, strengths, and limitations of structural metals is vital to proper construction and maintenance of equipment and airframes. Although often overlooked, correct selection and installation of hardware hold the aircraft together under the stresses of flight. An aircraft composed of the best quality materials is of doubtful value or safety if it cannot hold together. It is the responsibility of the maintenance technician to make careful material and installation considerations to ensure safe operation of the aircraft.
